Dimitra Gavrilaki

My Biography

Dimitra is a New York based architect and urbanist. Her professional experience engages a variety of scales

ranging from regional research, master planning and urban land use studies to local bottom-up community

initiatives, resilient design of public space and streetscape activation projects. In her work she has encountered

unique challenges and opportunities in project sites located across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the

Americas.

About my expirience working

She has worked as an analyst in the New York City Economic Development Corporation and as a researcher at

the Urban Design Lab of The Earth Institute at Columbia University.

While studying architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, Dimitra spent a year in Technische

Universität Berlin, with a concentration in urban design. She is currently operating as a project planner at Beyer

Blinder Belle, NYC.
